MEDICAL OUTREACH 2017

Lots of people were left in awe when on the 1st of February 2017, the Corp members in Igboeze north local government area of Enugu state decided to give back to the society by providing FREE MEDICAL SERVICES to the people of Enugu-Ezike community. 

In what was a course championed solely by the doggedness of the corps members medical team and their colleagues, the people of the community trooped out enmasse to be diagnosed by Corper Dr. Akakabota Kelvin and
Lab scientist also a Corper and doubles as the PETS CDS President took
them on a series of laboratory tests ranging from R & F(for rheumatism), Urine analysis, HIV test, Blood sugar level, etcetera.

The tests were ran free of charges to the delight of the corps members. The event on the 1st of February, 2017 started with the opening prayer at the local government secretariat. The PETS CDS President thereafter trained interested corps members on the A-Z of laboratory auxiliary practices.

The publicity was championed by the FRSC AND ENVIRONMENTAL CDS Presidents, Messrs Fasanya Abdul-Azeez and Omolaja Maruf respectively. They together with a handful of corps members went around to inform members of the community of the program.

After the awareness the program which held directly opposite the PHCN office under a big tree and a shade, started in earnest. With great interviewing sessions with corps members who were obviously joyous at the prospects of influencing lives.

The General CDS Coordinator, AFOLAGBADE OLAJIDE, was particularly delighted by the villagers turnout and at the fact that lives were blessed and touched by corps members in the local government area.
